Product description
Dried mealworms are a treat most birds find irresistible.
Many species, especially Robins and Blackbirds, love these additive-free treats, which have all the goodness of live mealworms (beetle larvae) without the moisture. They're an excellent source of protein for wild birds.
- Supplied in re-sealable, recyclable pouches (100g, 200g, 500g) or cardboard box (2kg).
- Store in a cool, dry place and use year-round.
- Sprinkle on the ground or in a suitable feeder.
- Ideal for Robins, Blackbirds, Starlings, Wrens and Song Thrushes.
Feeding guidelines
Either place in a mealworm hanging feeder or sprinkle on the ground.
During spring and summer, dried mealworms can be soaked in water to make them easier to eat for nestlings (not to be placed in feeder).
Mealworms should all be eaten or cleared away by dusk the same day (especially if scattered on the ground). This will help to prevent any leftover mealworms being consumed by Hedgehogs, which Hedgehog rehabilitators have raised as a concern.
