The feeder features a tough steel cage to protect the two suet cakes, along with a tray at the base which is ideal for collecting any fallen suet to reduce waste.

The handy spring mechanism allows you to control the size of the birds you'd like to access the feeder. The feeder also has a Negative Grip Tube, which prevents squirrels from grasping the wire hanger with their hind legs, hanging down and defeating the closing mechanism. 

Please note: To ensure the weight mechanism of this feeder can work as designed, please make sure it is positioned at least 46cm away from any other feeder or point where a squirrel could cling to and reach across from. Ideally, site the feeder at least 2m away from trees, shrubs and other cover that cats may use to pounce from.
