    Product information

Stop worrying about batteries, ensure full power and save £3 when you buy the RSPB-tested CATwatch cat deterrent with the mains adaptor (also available separately).

Many people find cat-fouling a nuisance. This device is proven to reduce the presence of cats in gardens and the deterrent effect increases over time. CATWatch, the UK's leading cat deterrent manufactured in the UK, successfully completed a two-year scientific trial conducted by the RSPB to determine its deterrent effect on cats in residential gardens. The results are published in the Applied Animal Behaviour Science Journal after peer review.

The research concluded that CATWatch reduces cat intrusions into gardens. The longer the unit is in place, the more effective it is.

    Advice

How to deter cats with CATWatch

Push the Catwatch ultrasonic cat deterrent into the ground, and when the sensor detects movement it emits a high-pitched sound disliked by most cats (but inaudible to humans). The frequency emitted is unique to cats hearing range, so the Catwatch won't bother other garden wildlife, such as hedgehogs.

Some cats will see the device as a challenge initially, and it may take up to four weeks to put them off coming into your garden.

    Not in my garden!!
Bought this device in May '21, instant success, no more cat problem. So much so I have just placed an order for another unit to protect another area out of the range of first device. Recommended to a friend and he has had the same success.

    CATWATCH
I have no hesitation in recommending this product which I have been using for many years in my long narrow terrace garden to deter my neighbour's cat . I have mainly herbaceous perennials ( and therefore plenty of soil! ) and a busy bird feeding station. I use both battery operated and mains operated Catwatches and have found they are most effective in keeping my garden clean and allowing the birds to feed unmolested. If they should fail after a time the manufacturers ( ConceptResearchLtd) are only too pleased to mend for a small fee or if still within the warranty period will replace free of charge. They are an extremely friendly company to talk to on the phone and provide a good after sales service. Batteries of course are always expensive but I buy ten batteries a time directly from the company which they can supply at a reduced price. I feel sure that if you decide to invest in this cat deterrent you will not be disappointed.

    doesn't work. useless
we have a large bird table in our garden we needed a cat repellent so we had these in the garden for weeks and when the cats came in the device activated and had zero effect on them, he sat down next to device while it was on and carried on doing his thing. I had to physically scare the cat away. these are useless and will buy a cat repellent from somewhere else now. so disappointed.
    RSPB response
Thank you for your review. We are very sorry to hear this. This sounds very unusual as the CATwatch cat deterrent should become more effective over time. Please contact our customer services team who will be happy to investigate further.

    Just plug in and go
Having tried another repelling device which uses ultrasound and has two controls I was a bit sceptical but so far after two weeks there are no presents on my raised beds. I used my bat detector to hear the ultrasound it emits, sounds terrible, in the range 20 -30 khz so young people may be able to hear it, at my age my range is down to about 10 khz!

    Goodbye cats
Have been using Catwatch for many years but kept forgetting to replace the battery. Saw this offer and am now powering my new unit off the mains which is working well and have moved my old unit to the front garden where cat activity is less. Very pleased.
