Round recycled coasters by Beach Clean

Product description

Set of four circular coasters made from a mixture of recycled EVA plastic products such as flip-flops, and eco-friendly cork.

Each set of four round coasters will be made from one single sheet of material so they will colour-match each other. However, as each sheet is a slightly different mixture of components, no two sets of four will be exactly the same.

Please note: Due to the use of recycled EVA materials, these coasters are not heatproof.

• Wipe clean with a damp cloth.
• Coasters measure 9cm diameter and 0.2cm deep.
• Placemats also available in this range.
• Made in Portugal.

What is EVA?

EVA, or Ethylene-vinyl acetate to give it its full name, is a type of flexible plastic which makes flip-flops, slipper soles and the foam used in things like garden kneeler pads. It is difficult to biodegrade, but it can be recycled.

Cork

The outer bark of a cork oak tree can be stripped every 7-14 years without harming the tree. Since the harvesting involves no logging, a diverse, ancient woodland ecosystem based on native flora is allowed to flourish.
