Designed specifically for Tawny Owls, this nest box provides a safe, secure and cosy place for these brilliant birds to nest.
Tawny Owls are roughly the size of Woodpigeons and have rounded bodies and heads, with a ring of dark feathers around their face, surrounding their round, dark eyes. The Tawny Owl is a widespread breeding species in England, Wales and Scotland but not found in Ireland.
Handmade in the UK from FSC® certified redwood with a recycled/farm waste roof covering, this Tawny Owl nest box provides long-term protection from the elements. It is durable and built to last with minimal upkeep when properly installed.
The nest box comes with two heavy-duty side mounts for safe installation and features an inspection hatch, allowing for easy access when monitoring or cleaning; please refer to the advice documentation included with the nest box beforehand.
It has a spacious interior designed to the exact needs of Tawny Owls. There is also a camera clip fitted near a small hole at the back of the box for cabling access, if you're interested in monitoring any nesting owls.
