Fruits of the Forage preserves gift set

A wonderful gift for eco-conscious foodies, these delicious preserves are made from produce that has been foraged or would normally go to waste.

Fruits of the Forage work with market garden orchards and growers to collect the remnants of these orchards and hedgerows; long neglected but still producing fruit. This has allowed them to find heritage varieties that are more suited for preserves than as eating fruit.

To help biodiversity Fruits of the Forage are planting more of these heritage varieties in small projects across the UK.

Fruits of the Forage are caretakers of rediscovered old orchards and provide a demand for the produce of ancient hedges and biodiversity plots of farmers and gardens.

All Fruits of the Forage products are SALSA certified, meaning all of their ingredients and suppliers are traceable.

The gift set contains three 210g jars of delicious preserves:

• Mulled plum jam: Wonderfully warming heritage plum jam with hogweed spiced mulled wine, the taste of yule tidings.
• Heritage pear chutney: Spiced chutney with wild apples and tangy heritage cooking pears - a forgotten ancient British fruit.
• Hot Rhuby Chilli preserve: This sweet chilli preserve bursts with the flavours of rhubarb, smoky roast peppers, foraged wild garlic and cooking apples.
