St Davids Distillery is a 'people over profit' company, committed to reinvesting profits to Welsh charities that are working towards #ABetterWales. This ethical, community-first approach is a natural fit for RSPB in Wales and specifically, RSPB Ramsey Island.

Ramsey Island is an iconic landmark of St Davids life. The legends that surround it, the wildlife that thrives on it and the waters that beat against it all contribute to its rich tapestry of life. St Davids Distillery have produced a collection of Gin and Art prints - the Ramsey Series. Profit donations go towards funding RSPB projects on and around Ramsey Island. Recent examples include a water filtration system for island visitors to replace the sale of bottled water, and ongoing annual boat hire to cut fledgling gannets free from marine plastics. Learn more and browse the full collection at St David's Distillery.

Ramsey Island in Pembrokeshire was once home to one of Britain's best-loved sea birds, the iconic puffin. Once people introduced rats to the island however, the entire puffin population was decimated. Over a century later, in 2000, a mammoth effort by RSPB staff, volunteers and even experts from New Zealand, successfully freed the island of rats in the hope of enabling puffins to breed at Ramsey again. In recent years puffins have been sighted, so here the puffin encapsulates some of the key themes of conservation and serves as a reminder of what was lost, but may yet come to be again.
