No mess, no fuss
Nice no mess, no fuss option. The blackbirds, dunnocks and robins in particular like them.

Very popular
Go down very well, and very fast! I have quite a few young starlings at the moment (as well as some adults) and they can't get enough of them.

A huge help to breeding parents.
These have been a huge help to thrushes, blackbirds, robins, during the breeding season, with parents back and forth all day for many days collecting to feed them, and what a joy when they bring their babies to meet you. The blue tits and great tits didn't take them this season, there are many large trees, perhaps there were a sufficient supply of caterpillars for them. The dunnocks or hedge sparrows returned to feeding here after breeding and enjoy them too. I find wet or dry they are enjoyed. Again I see online they can be less expensive but prefer to and can, and so do, purchase knowing the profit goes back into wildlife care with true care and expertise applied. Thank you.
