I bought rechargeable batteries and a charger and it works a treat.
I bought 2 memory cards and just swap them over each day and save in separate folders on the laptop. Someone complained that it lost the numbering of the photos/videos when the card contents were deleted. My easy solution is to delete all photos/videos from the card except the last photo/video and the numbering continues sequentially.
Someone commented that it is difficult to open to replace the batteries. It is, especially with cold fingers in the winter, but easy to slip an old table knife or flat screw driver behind the latches and it opens easily.
Just remember to reset the date and time after replacing/recharging the batteries as this information is lost. The other settings are all saved.
I even thought about buying a second camera but instead I used the strap to attach it to a medium sized plant pot (with plants) that is easy for me to lift and move around the garden so I’ve been watching different parts of the garden. Even put in the neighbours to help them ‘catch’ what was digging up some flower beds.
My only suggestion would be a better method for tightening the strap, one with a ratchet type mechanism would stop the strap sagging.
