    Advice

Each evening offer about a quarter of food per hedgehog in a shallow dish. Always ensure there is a supply of fresh water, particularly when feeding dry food and during warm weather. It may take a little while for the hedgehogs to get used to a different food but do persevere as this is normal with all animals.

    GREAT STUFF say Hedgy,Pinky,Perky,Speedy,Horace &Percy
We have loads of hogs, and they love both the meat, which is very meaty, and the crunchy biscuits.which are very crunchy and good for their teeth. Sorry to hear some customers hogs are not so keen, but ours simply love it. Horace and Percy are autumn juveniles still coming every night for food. Horace was too small to hibernate, so he was determinedly eating almost three bowlfuls in one sitting, it was as if he knew what he needed to do. He has gained enough weight and his waist has expanded, so no worries now if he decides to go off to noddy land. Now we need to get Percy, who arrived very recently, and is still shy, built up the same. Think with this specialist food, he will make it.

    REALLY Good - signed,
We have loads of hogs who come to be fed, and they simply love this food, both the meat and the biscuits! The tin is very meaty and the biscuits very crunchy which is good for their teeth. Have been feeding an autumn juvenile, Horace, who was too small to hibernate. He seemed to know he needed to eat as much as he could and would determinedly chomp through almost 3 bowls full in one sitting! He has successfully gained weight and his waist has expanded admirably, so now no worries if he does decide to hibernate. Another small hog, Percy, has now turned up, and he is doing well on this food.
Sad to hear some customers hogs are not keen, but have to say ours have no complaints! In fact they seem to love it, and hang around waiting for it to be put out.
PS - hogs do not seem to like eating from plastic bowls, so ceramic is best

    Hedgehogs didn't eat it
Our visiting hedgehogs didn't eat this. Neighbours' cats loved it. Waste of money.

    Great hedgehog food
We have at least 2 regular hedgehog visitors and they love this. I put some of the Brambles crunchy food in the bowl as well and they always eat all the wet food and most of the crunchy food too. I had previously used a hedgehog food bought in a local pet shop containing sunflower seeds and mealworms - I was horrified to discover from the lady in the RSPB shop that mealworms aren’t good for hedgehogs but so pleased that she shared her knowledge. Thank you!

    Hedgehogs avoid this!
Our visiting hedgehog wouldn't touch this stuff so we thought we'd try it with someone else's hedgehogs - and they won't touch it either! Therefore impossible to recommend it.
    RSPB response
Thank you. We are sorry that your local hedgehogs did not accept this. Animals are variable, though we sell thousands of these and know this food to be widely accepted. It is very nutritious, so it could be worth donating the remainder to a rescue centre.

    our garden hedgehog loves it!
We found a hedgehog in our garden last week so went online search for its food, come cross this brand. I purchased the dry and can food. Leave out both dry and wet food in the evening, next morning found all the wet food was gone but some dry food left over. This morning i put some wet food out and checked around noon, and all gone again! Our hedgehog definitely loves it.

Sorry -this food rejected by hedgehogs here.
Looks like a really nourishing food for the hedgehogs - but have made several regular attempts to feed it to hedgehogs and food is rejected in entirety. If I mix the Bramble dry food with it then it's all left. If I divide dry food and this food then hedgehogs will eat the dry food and leave the remainder. I need to find an animal rescue place to donate remaining tins to.
    RSPB response
Thank you. We are sorry that you have been disappointed. This is very strange. We have sold thousands of these and never heard of hedgehogs rejecting the food before. Donating the remainder is a great idea as this is a very nourishing food for hedgehogs!
