    Our Ultimate easy-clean seed feeders are incredibly tough. The top and base are made from durable zinc alloy, and the polycarbonate tube won't discolour or fade in the sun.

    Our whole sunflower hearts can be used in seed feeders, on bird tables or on the ground all year round. Rich in oil and protein and bursting with energy, they're quick and easy-to-eat, and are particularly appreciated by tits, greenfinches, goldfinches, blackbirds and house sparrows.

    RSPB sunflower hearts are grown as close to home as possible, from European black seeds. Other hearts might come from as far away as China, Argentina or America (they've got many more miles on the clock) and lost their protective coat long ago. The RSPB sunflower heart is greener, plump, nutritious and in tip-top condition.

    Didn't work for my birds
    I bought one of these feeders a while ago as I was attracted by the "easy clean" feature. That was fine, but the birds did not like the broader perches. So I was obliged to get rid of the feeder and revert to the older styled feeder which disassembled by removing the perches. My bird numbers are back to normal, but it seems you no longer sell this style of feeder, so I may be obliged to look elsewhere.

    Thank you. We are sorry to hear that you were disappointed with your purchase. We know from testing and feedback that birds happily use these perches. However, birds can take a long time to adjust to any new feeder. We would recommend giving it more time.

    Looks good but........
    We bought two of these and the numerous finches love them. Goldfinches mostly, but also Bullfinches, Greenfinches and Chaffinches visit very regularly (+Blackcaps, Robins and House Sparrows too) with all the 12 ports occupied and more birds waiting in the apple tree's branches, from which the feeders are hung.
    One of the main reasons for buying it was the statement (quote) "the sturdy polycarbonate which won't crack or discolour over time".
    It hasn't discoloured at all, but the very thin polycarbonate used has meant that nearly all the port's holes have cracks radiating from them. Most seem to follow a N, E, S, W compass-like radiation from the porthole.
    Is this poor design or the thin polycarbonate material used?.
    It is not the easiest of feeders to re-assemble either.
    We try and support the RSPB in many ways, but this feeder was a poor purchase

    Liked by birds but not us!
    We bought this a while ago. The birds, especially goldfinches, love it as a lot of them can feed at once. However, it is a nightmare to wash and put together again. This time it has defeated us, after an hour of trying to reassemble it. We shall be returning it when we next go to RSPB Sandy.
