    pheasant thwarter? fingers crossed!
Great little feeders. The blue tits were the first to cautiously approach, but after a fortnight all the little birds are using them, finches, robins and today a blackbird. They hold wriggly mealworms nicely and so far the pheasants have not landed on top of them. Doubtless they will try eventually, but for the moment at least I can feed the little ones with it all getting hoovered by the big guys.

    Well designed and much used
I love the design of these. These double spike on the bottom means they are extremely stable. Unlike the ones they replaced, they manage to stay upright even after an entire flock of starlings has descended for their suet pellets!
The sparrows have taken a few days to get used to these, but the starlings were straight in. The blackbird also loves these - the petal design of the cup now means that he has a feeder he can perch on and he’s definitely making the most of it.
