Less mess on the ground
Initially, it took quite a while for the little birds to find the food source, they are great as the birds just select the seeds they want, the ones they don't want remain inside the feeder instead of on the ground.

Use a baffle to give protection from the rain, and to prevent bigger birds & squirrels from feeding from them.

Birds don't like
There is nothing wrong with this bird feeder, I really like it but unfortunately the birds in our garden don't and won't go near it. I also bought an apple shaped feeder and we have the same problem so have resorted to the usual hanging feeders that I bought from RSPB.

RSPB response: Thank you for your review. It can take birds a couple of months to respond to a new feeder, so hopefully they will feed from it soon!

Great garden item!
This is a lovely feeder and looks great. The only problem we have at the moment is that the juvenile starlings have discovered it and are swarming in to take whatever is put in it! The smaller birds just don't get a look-in!
