Sherwood Forest, a 450-acre country park and nature reserve, is home to a well-loved veteran oak tree, the Major Oak, which is known throughout the world for its connection to Nottinghamshire’s legendary hero Robin Hood. The large English oak is thought to be between 800 and 1000 years old and legend has it that the ancient canopy not only provided Robin Hood with shelter, it was also the place where he and his Merry Men slept. Emma has captured the untouched beauty of this English woodland and its famous folklore. The Major Oak is surrounded by spiraling ferns and dancing foxgloves, with intricate clusters of oak leaves interspersed.
