Inspired by the majestic Tristan albatross, currently under threat in the place they call home: Gough Island. A tiny island set in the vast South Atlantic, Gough is home to some unique and precious wildlife. The RSPB is on a mission to restore Gough as a seabird paradise. The Gough Island restoration operation is already underway and this inspiring mug is one of the ways in which we can support this project.
Gough Island is a UK Overseas Territory in the South Atlantic. Uninhabited by humans but home to more than eight million birds, it's an important nesting ground for many globally threatened seabird species, including the Tristan albatross and Atlantic petrel.
Alongside the local government of Tristan da Cunha we are working hard to protect this precious island habitat before these birds are gone forever. Help show your support for our urgent work by buying one of our specially commissioned mug and tea towel celebrating the majestic beauty of the Tristan albatross. We're also proud to present our limited edition commemorative coin which also features the Tristan albatross. For further information about the project please go to goughisland.com.
