Not quite as appreciated as the buggy nibbles
Bought these by accident, instead of the buggy nibbles. The texture is a bit harder than the other, and the birds don't seem as quite as enthused about them - but they get eaten in the end.

The birds seem to love all of the suet sprinkles / nibbles and this does not disappoint. The feeder is generally empty within a day.

    the birds love it
Doves, robins, dunnocks, blackbirds, sparrows, all love it. We just toss a handful on the ground several times during the day and here they come. we have one robin who will fuss first thing in the morning unless his sprinkles have arrived.

RSPB response: Thank you for your review, so pleased that the birds are enjoying our high energy sprinkles!

    Gone gone gone
Wow these go extremely quickly. I bought an extra nibble feeder to cope with the demand and they are now both empty within 24 hours. Either I am getting more birds or the regulars are getting more greedy. I am now putting out sunflower seeds, oat granola, mealworms and sunflower suet blocks, which rarely last a week. Must be good stuff.

    Gone down Hill
I have been using these High Energy Sprinkles now for a few years, me and the Birds have loved them. But I have to say the last 2 or 3 bags I have bought from you have had so much dust in them, that the bird table is left in a terrible state after a shower of rain. These are very expensive and I don't appreciate all the dust in the bags, so for that reason I will not be buying any more from you.

RSPB response: Thank you for your review, we are very sorry that you have had a high amount of crumbs in your High energy sprinkles, it should not be the case at all and your comment has been passed on to the supplier to ensure that this does not happen in future batches. In the meantime please contact customer services who will be happy to assist you.

    They just love it!
I mix these sprinkles with seeds and dried mealworms, put it all in lots of nut feeders (the sprinkles are just the right size to go through the mesh) and low and behold, its all gone in 24hrs!! All the birds love it. Whatever you do, RSPB, don't make the sprinkles any bigger!

The birds in my garden can't get enough of this, I have to buy it by the box to keep up with demand! Whole range of birds enjoy this from robins, blackbirds and blue tits to starlings (whole flock!), sparrows and even seen a jay pinch some off the table.

    A real winner.
The birds that visit my garden absolutely love these sprinkles. I put them in a seed feeder, and also in a hanging feeder, on the bird table and on the ground.
They are loved by all the birds that visit my garden, including Starlings, Blue Tits, Great Tits, Robins, Wood Pigeons, Collared Doves, Magpies and Sparrows. It usually takes the Starlings about an hour in the mornings to empty the seed feeder, then they sit along the fence waiting for me to refill it for them!!!
    Would defiantly recommend these.

Helps you to see more of your birds!
My birds are on to their third 12.5 kg bag since November, but it has been a joy to see especially sparrows and starlings relishing this food. Many other species join in and the robins and blackbirds will come if I call, wait on the fence, then swoop down near my feet to feed. Even collared doves will now come within a few feet. Amusing to see a hedgehog clearing up the last few bits in the evening. This product certainly helps you to get to know and enjoy your birds even more.

RSPB response: Hi Judith, thank you for your review. It is great to hear that feeding your garden birds brings you so much joy.

    Excellent - In the dry
I have bought this product for many years and the birds love it. I do find it disappointing however that the product turns to mush in the rain. To be honest the birds will still eat it but it doesn't half clog up the mesh in the feeding tray. Probably best used in feeders which protect the product from the rain.

RSPB Response: Many thanks for your review. We have not changed the ingredients for this product and it is designed to break down easily in the birds body, which ultimately means it will do the same when very wet. We recommend feeding little and often in damp conditions.

    Good Suet
Despite suet not being popular in my area, I did get a small bag of these sprinkles, along with the suet bars, to test the waters. Whilst the bars weren't too popular, I'm happy to say that this pouch actually went pretty fast and seemed popular with the birds and especially as a ground food.

Just be aware that fine suet, like sprinkles, tends to mush down and turn ""Paste-y"" when exposed to rain - left on a mesh feeder tray, it'll likely mush down into all the grooves in the mesh (not helped by clumsy pigeons landing on it!) and be a nightmare to clean out.

    Super Suet !!
I have been feeding these sprinkles all through the winter & have yet to find a bird that doesn't enjoy them greatly !! I now have regular visits from song thrushes & the number of blackbirds has increased. My regular robin adores them, as do a variety of tits. I now buy in 12.5 kilo bags as this is more economical price wise. A great product & i will continue to feed it as there is never any waste & it provides our feathered friends with a much needed source of energy

    I like this product
I often mix sprinkles with oats and mealworms in my hanging birdfeeder. I get robins, blackcaps, blue and great tits etc. on a regular basis, and the food that always goes first are the sprinkles. And the birds keep coming back for more. So, kept under cover or in a feeder, they are very successful, and I recommend them.

    Very disappointed
I purchased these high energy sprinkles for my bird table, I was thrilled with them at first as the birds love them, but Oh dear, when it rained the sprinkles were reduced to a mush, leaving a very messy bird table to clean and into the bargain rendered them useless for the birds to eat. Maybe these would be ok in a feeder, but I do not use feeders. So I would not purchase any more of these. Sorry RSPB.

    Big big favourite
I mix these in with other food on the ground and table and the birds love it. Even the Jays go for this first above the peanuts. As well as birds the hedgehog loves these and surprisingly, the neighbourhood cats which come into the garden also love the sprinkles! Definitely an all round winner.

    gobble gobble :)
My birds adore these sprinkles. They are the first to be grabbed up fin the ground feeder and considering it also has goodies like dried mealworms, raisins etc in it I think that shows just how good these are.
You can also put them in hanging feeders with seed but beware the lovely clowns we know as starlings , my troop here have become great acrobats, just to get to these sprinkles, doing things like hanging down from the higher perch wrapping round the feeder to get to the lower port and emptying it in less than no time in their endevours.
I recommend a guard if you have any starlings around and you want to put some in a hanging feeder as the little ones wont stand a chance.

    my birds adore this
I used to buy the buggy nibbles and decided to try thes sprinles this time as they can go in a hanging feeder which means the little birds get some, well they did till the starlings realised and mobbed the feeder emptying it in no time flat. Still a suitable squirrel guard will soon sort that out :)
In the ground feeder among other things I put out dried mealworms and raisins these sprinkles are always the first to get eaten.
I buy the refill pack as although its only a little cheaper I do have to consider the pennies.

    An absolute favourite
I've been buying these suet sprinkles for a few years now and they are absolute favourite with all of the birds in my garden. The birds just can't seem to get enough of them and they are always the first to disappear from everything I put out. The sprinkles themselves are smaller diameter than other suet pellets and so seem to particularly appeal to the smaller garden birds. I've also found that they are popular when mixed with seeds in a hanging seed feeder. Its certainly my number 1 RSPB bird feed - just wish it was on offer more often!

    Sparrows Favourite
Have only been using this product this year. I put them in an acorn feeder which holds quite a lot for summer feeding. The house sparrows cant get enough of them. They are just the right size and dont get wasted. Only downside, starlings have managed to hang on to the feeder and empty it in around a day. Not what i really wanted.

    A REAL WINNER!!
We have been buying these for a number of years now and the birds seem to know when we get some in and they dont waste any time in clearing up the lot! I get a bit annoyed with the starlings at times as they run riot and the bluetits and robin have a hard time geting their share. These are a real winner. Never had any breakages at all or any reson to complain. We always get a speedy delivery from the RSPB. Sandra - Solihull.

    A sprinkle of pleasure
I've just bought my first tub and refill of these for my garden birds and what a fantastic success they are. I don't put them in feeders as the nibbles are in those but instead put them in the mesh feeder tray, on the top of a garden ornament and on the ground around where I see the thrush, robins, blackbirds and dunnocks appearing when they venture out from cover. The blue, great and coal tits seem to love them and the chaffinch sings like mad when I've put them out to feed. This is not to say that the starlings, magpies, jackdaws, collared doves and wood pigeons don't also like them even though they are proportionally giant compared to the spinkles! This will become expensive but for the pleasure I get from watching the birds it's a price I'll pay for as long as I can afford it. Brilliant product!

    Irresistable
I'm being eaten out of house and home here!! What is nice to see after 3 years, is a pair of collared doves back again. Just got that pair and another pair arrived - can set my clock by them coming to feed! Robins eat and then cram as much in beak as possible to fly off to feed nestlings. Two pairs and rotate feeding and carrying for young. I'm now recognising individual birds of the pair and loving every minute of it. Thanks for food that allows me to do this.

Birds can't get enough of them!
These suet sprinkles are an absolute favourite with all of my garden birds. Unlike suet-based sprinkles bought from many garden centres these are small in diameter and so ideal for the smaller birds like bluetits and robins. They also don't immediately disintegrate if there is a bit of rain and so they are good for putting out in the open and on the ground. My only complaint is that my birds love them so much I'm getting through them at an incredible rate!

Brilliant for small & large birds
The birds in my garden absolutely love these! The pellets are smaller than most you buy in garden centres etc and this means that the smaller birds also find them easy to eat. I put mine out on a flat topped, open bird table and I get a variety of birds from Robins and Siskins through to Jackdaws, Wood Pigeons and even Rooks, not to mention the odd squirrel, (although he actually prefers the sunflower seeds)!! (My garden is not a big one and we live on an estate! It is quite near some woods though, so maybe that helps.)
