RSPB > Bird care > Bird tables > Hanging bird tables

We've taken the top of our striking Gothic bird table and added a strong chain so you can hang it from a tree branch or bracket.
The chain is fitted so that the fixings are hidden, giving an even more elegant finish.

Our unique feeding platform design incorporates a slide-out recycled plastic floor for easy cleaning and great hygiene.

The best spot to hang a bird table is on a strong tree branch or sturdy bracket and it should be set at least four feet (1.2 m) off the ground (a little higher if you have agile cats in your neighbourhood).

    Gothic hanging bird table
Beginning to wish that we hadn't inserted the plastic floor. It can be very reflective of movement of surrounding trees and seems to put birds off from landing. They go to the nut and fat baskets which are hanging from the table as they did from our old table.
