This is a nice item, that will enhance any garden. It is shorter than I expected, but will be good for children (and squirrels). However it is let down by a shoddy attention to details. The Allen key supplied is useless.Throw it away. If you don't have a decent 4 mm Allen key, treat yourself to one. You will also need a 10 mm spanner to nip down the locknuts on the hooks. The upright is marked to show where the screws for the legs are to go. Obeying these resulted in the legs being attached a little high on the upright, by about 10 mm. This makes an insignificant difference to the height, but is does mean that the legs are splayed wider where the reinforcing blocks are attached, on the end of the upright. As a result the reinforcing blocks are too small to contact the legs. Now this is not a major problem - the legs can be unscrewed and repositioned, or larger blocks made from a bit of scrap wood. It does show, however an irritating lack of attention to details that I would not expect in a product at this price. Would I recommend it? Yes, but be aware that the instructions are for guidance only, and you may need to modify the assembly to get it right.

Although everything was included in the package, missing inserts in top of post meant I could not fix the fourth arm

Bought this for Bird Watch. Easy to put together well made. Birds love it. Since purchased had baby blue tits, starlings, gold finch, lots of green finch great tits, sparrows and woodpeckers. So blessed. Going to buy another.

Arrived missing the 40mm screws, but luckily I had some. Also the instructions are wrong - you can't put in the screws of the small wedge if you join the wedges first. If anyone had QC'ed the instructions they would discover this! Pretty symptomatic of the RSPB website in general, which unfortunately is about the worst there is for navigating. Sort it out RSPB.

Unfortunately the overall height of this item was not given in the description and it was shorter than I expected. There were also no 40mm screws in the fixings pack and one of the wooden bracing pieces split when attaching it..
However I like the product and it does look much better than the rusty feeding station it has replaced. Just wish it was a bit taller!!

After not very long te legs fell apart and then attached it to a fence post and after fell apart.

Very pleased with this feeding station. Made from sturdy materials and I found it simple and easy to erect on my own. The design looks more natural than the cast iron feeder and the birds flocked to it immediately. Highly recommended.
