Premium feeding station

The reason for buying this was to try to avoid disease in the garden by having a feeder that could be moved, stopping build up of pathogens and also something designed to prevent squirrels using it.

The quality is good, looks OK, the paint finish will hopefully mean it will last a long time.

However, it's a bit flimsy and unstable even planted deep in a lawn, the whole thing wobbles with the smallest of birds and fully loaded feeders, but not a major problem so far.

The downside : it's not tall enough to stop squirrels jumping straight onto the bird feeders from the ground.

I bought a baffle to put on the feeder stem but laughed to see the squirrels leap vertically onto the feeders themselves. I would add a good metre to the height of this feeder to make it squirrel proof (with a baffle - which I had to adapt because the squirrels dismantled that at the first attempt).

The other thing that would be good to see was if it was made in the UK rather than shipped from the other side of the world (global warming and all that?).

I had my first one replaced as one of the poles did not fit properly (Bought from a RSPB shop). The base is flimsy and bends easily.
I bought this product on the basis of the quality of the previous product which RSPB do not stock any more.

As there were no instructions I needed to guess and damaged product in the process. Put it up today and it has had quite a few visitors but wobbly and unstable.
