This neat little feeder has a domed roof to keep food dry in wet weather, and because it's clear, it gives you a great view of the birds! The dome slides up and down so you can deter larger birds if you wish.

    ROINS APPROVE
Needed various height adjustments to deter starltings and placing on solid surface our robins now thoroughly appove of their new feeder. Excellent for keeping food dry.

larger size far mor practical from my experience
These feeders are useful but this one is too small to be practical in my garden. Larger one is better. Starlings manage to access them anyway but I don't mind.
    RSPB response
Thank you. We are sorry to hear that this was not big enough for you. Every garden is different, so we try to include product dimensions on all our web pages. Thank you for feeding starlings! They are endangered in the UK so your support is much needed.

    Extremely popular
Great feeder: excellent quality and the birds love it. I put berry nibbles out on mind and have positioned it in the middle of a viburnum bush so is sturdy in all weathers, with lots of cover but an open front for them to fly in and out from. This seems to work well.

It has small holes so drains well although the dome cover and it being in the hedge means that whats within stays dry anyway.

    So far we have had:
great tits, blue tits, house sparrows, blackbirds, robins, and starlings who all visit several times a day, in fact at any time in the day if I glance at it there is at least one bird eating from it.

Great product, tempted to buy another and decorate the garden with them as they work so well.

    Well used!
This little feeder is easy to use and the robins must love it - the mealworms disappear! Had to try various spots to station it to find one they like like - finally found they'll use the feeder when it's over a brush pile (cats can't get to them), hanging about 5' off the ground, under a tree surrounded by bushes. Just suggested one to a friend :-)

    not fit for purpose
the concept of this feeder is fine however in reality it just does not work. No matter how low you place the dome the starlings just take all the food so as another review has said its a complete waste of time!

    good little bird feeder
Tired of the magpies and jackdaws raiding my hanging suet balls, I placed this feeder on a table on my balcony, with a twisted hazel and a geranium plant for cover. Mixed seeds have not been touched, but the buggy nibbles are so irresistible that two robins, two blackbirds and many tits soon found it - but a week later the magpies came in searching for the food and found it! Thankfully not the jackdaws yet! I have lowered the dome to exclude the larger birds, but magpies beaks have a long reach! I would not recommend this feeder for open ground as I believe it needs a solid surface to sit on.

    Highly recommended
Strong, sturdy and light feeder. I hung it from a branch of the Berberis outside the window. Very easy to adjust the height. I put dried mealworms in mine. The great-tits have bought their chicks and have sat inside quite happily chomping away at the mealworms. Sparrows, tits and robin have visited, great for keeping bigger birds away and looks attractive.

    A waste of money
Unlike other reviewers I found this a complete waste of time and have discarded it. Although Robins and tits used it no matter how low I placed the dome Starlings would simply hang on the edge of the bottom disc and eat all the contents within minutes. Although I admire their skill it really did not exclude starlings as expected. I placed it in the bin after a week of daily feeds.

    Great product
Currently hanging this from the lowest branch of a standard rose, light enough not to damage the rose and sturdy enough to do the job. Alternating between buggy nibbles and sunflower hearts, both of which have stayed clean and dry. Tits and robins regularly visit the feeder.
