    Now there are finches!
I'm new to bird feeding so bought a range of small feeders and food with a great discount during Big Garden Birdwatch in Winter. In early Spring I hung up the small seed feeder, the nut & nibble one, and the suet ball feeder. I actually had birds visiting all 3 that same day which was exciting! However, the jackdaws and squirrels quickly discovered and depleted the suet feeders. I'm looking into guardians for those but they seem pricey, so just stuck with the seed feeder. It's easy enough to refill and clean, and has attracted goldfinches, chaffinches, and the resident blue & great tits too. One goldfinch struggled to figure it out (others got it fine though). I've watched all the different birds visit the feeder multiple times a day and notice it must be getting low when I see less activity in the garden! I've been alternating black sunflowers and sunflower hearts and it's been fun to watch a particular great tit take some seeds then fly to a slightly higher branch to eat. Happily the grey squirrel and clattering of jackdaws have shown less interest in the seed feeder since I took away the suet feeders. They must have easier meals nearby! This has been a great introduction to bird feeding and I suspect will last a number of years before any of the feeders need replacing. I've also decided to stick with sunflower hearts (rather than with the black casing) - more expensive but attracts more birds, and less mess.

    Excellent products
Thought I would try this starter kit as cheap feeders fall apart. Birds have been dining daily and they seem to give the feeders and feed the thumbs up
