Are smaller birds not getting a look-in at your bird table? With our RSPB adjustable bird table you can easily slide the feeding platform up and down the central pole, allowing three different roof heights for a range of different birds.

This way you can deter larger birds such as wood pigeons and collared doves if you wish.

This great offer also comes with ten mealworm super suet cakes - our non-melting fat cakes that are great for feeding birds all year (even in summer) and easy to crumble without getting messy fingers.

Ok but not only for small birds
A quality table but feed tray is easily accessible to magpies and jackdaws even at the narrowest setting.
RSPB response
Thank you. It is great to hear that you are happy with the quality of this table. We are sorry that you were disappointed with the settings. The smallest setting should deter large birds, but we will feed back your comments to the product team.

limited effectiveness
Purchased this particular bird table as it stated the table could be adjusted to only allow small birds to feed from it. Iset it to its smallest allowable gap, Magpies and Jackdoors still get in and feed and are able to reach right to the centre of the table. Doesn't do what it says on the tin!

Haven for small birds... but
Although the smaller birds like sparrows, dunnocks and blue tits can access it at will without any problems, I have a visitation of jackdaws that are also very adept at stealing expensive buggy bites. Pigeons however, the vacuum cleaners of bird food find it really difficult to enter because they do not have the balancing skills of jackdaws but non the less, it is quite hilarious watching pigeons trying there best to access my new bird feeder/house. They have their own ground feeder table with peanuts and seed that of which they will polish off in one greedy session, they are getting fed though as all birds are welcome in my garden.
RSPB response
Thank you for your review. You may find jackdaws less active once the breeding season is over. Pigeons and jackdaws can definitely be entertaining!

Does not do what it says on the tin...
We bought this to encourage birds such as chaffinches that struggle with hanging feeders whilst preventing larger birds from demolishing the food we put out. Although marketed as deterring birds such as pigeons we have found that these, along with Jackdaws, have no problems whatsoever. Even on the lowest setting they manage to cling on and feed. If anything it is the smaller birds that seem disinclined to use the table.
RSPB response
Thank you. From our experience and testing it is unusual that pigeons can feed from the smallest setting. Smaller and it wouldn't be safe for small birds. You may find the RSPB forum useful https://community.rspb.org.uk/wildlife/f/feeding-garden-visitors

Adjustable bird table
I bought this item recently to replace my old table which had fallen apart. Once put together, which is fairly straight forward, and placed in the garden, the small birds took to it straight away and are loving it. Mainly sparrows and tits. The adjustable height means no more large birds hogging the food. All the birds in my garden are catered for. This just gives our smaller feathered friends a better feeding time. And with the table on the top setting, the birds can stay dry under the roof, even during heavy rain showers. A brilliant innovation and one which I would thoroughly recommend.
