It works but .....
It took about a kilogram of seed to fill this feeder, a quantity that would have lasted several days in the two smaller feeders previously in use. The birds cleared it in about two hours. They seem to scatter the seed from the feed tray, resulting in squirrels and pigeons feeding happily on the ground beneath the feeder.
True the squirrels can't get onto the feeder, but can I afford to order a 12.75 kilo sack of seed each week to feed them beneath it?

didn't fool my squirrels
I caught the squirrel today, hanging from the pole eating the seeds whilst putting no weight on the feeder - they are too clever. Saying that the feeder is good quality and easy to clean, I will be looking for solutions.

Good feeder
Birds love it, and it thwarts the squirrels, survived first winter and looks like it'll do plenty more! easy to refill and clean! good stuff.

Best Bird Feeder I’ve Tried
A bit over a year ago I decided I wanted to feed the local birds through the winter. Unfortunately, the squirrels seemed rather determined to prevent me from doing so. They would scare off the birds to keep the feed for themselves. When I tried to prevent them from doing so they’d break things and throw things about making a mess and eating seed the seed nevertheless. At one point I had broken glass bottles of peanut butter mixed with mealworms on the patio. Hardly ideal. I went through about three squirrel feeders before finally finding this actual bird feeder. Some have commented it’s not easy to clean. I do see the point, particularly if you have arthritis as my grandparents do, but I haven’t found it too bad. Pipe cleaners are my friend. The quality is very good, the squirrels can’t/don’t bother with it, and all but the largest of birds seem to manage with it. Even had woodpeckers!

Squirrels are smart
Squirrels soon learnt they could not hang on the feeder and access seeds. Yet they persisted and found they can, if large enough, hang from the branch and reach the feeder without putting weight on it and bounce on the branch and shake the feeder to cause seeds to fall to the ground.

Not 100% Squirrel proof
I have yet to fund a feeder which is really squirrel proof , This one is better than most as it is metal and has not to date been torn to bits by squirrel but the have worked out how to get around the security measures

It works!!
This bird feeder performs just as advertised. It also thwarts squirrels as long as you site the product correctly.

We fill them with sunflower hearts which the song birds love particularly Goldfinches ! The bigger size feeder may be more convenient, but then it’s starts to get pricey!

Fabulous
Excellent feeder. I increased the weight allowance very slightly, just in case the tiniest birds were alarmed at the sensitivity of the spring action and hey presto, instant success. No squirrels have been able to work it out (I've followed the advice on placement to the letter). I have very happy birds - which are now confident enough to feed, at their leisure, in the hassle free area.

Super Feeder
My two feeders arrived well packaged & in good time. I already have the Squirrel Buster Plus and now I have two of the regular Squirrel Busters. Birds took to them straight away (sometimes an issue with cage feeders) and those pesky squirrels have been thwarted. They work! I can also see that the feeders will be easy to clean.....always a bonus. Fabulous.

Best feeder on the market
After numerous failed purchases of other so called 'Squirrel Proof' bird feeders, I found this. it does cost more than your average bird feeder, but is worth every £ when you see squirrels trying to get food and fail.
