Feeding station ground base

RSPB > Bird care > Feeding stations > Feeder hooks, poles & bases

Feeding stations, laden with feeders, food and birds can sometimes tilt over to one side, especially in a strong wind, or with a heavy pigeon landing! To add more stability to your feeding station, we've developed this ground base with four spikes. Designed to fit our green Feeder pole (R0318), Premium feeding station (R405645) and our Feeding station (R402056). Measures 42 x 42cm. Each spike is 15cm long.

      Stable base
The base is very stable once inserted into the ground. Mine held up 4 feeders without leaning over even though we have had high winds lately. The Ø25mm tube will also fit in with the narrow end at the top so extra extensions can be added without them filling the inside with water. I did however change the fasteners to stainless steel because zinc plated ones aluminium angle 60 x 60 x 5do not last long exposed to the elements.
