Bird wall clock with thermometer

This was just what I was looking for as my other clock broke. Lovely detail and good quality

At first I was very disappointed as the clock didn’t work when I took it out of the box, despite being well packaged. I contacted the manufacturer and they replaced it without quibbling. The second clock is excellent, it keeps very good time and the temperature gauge is quite accurate. The batteries have lasted a long time, I haven’t needed to replace them since buying the clock in February. I have placed the clock in quite a sheltered position so I have not had any issues with the flimsy clock hands reported in another review. All in all, I am happy with the clock and have ordered another as a gift.

When I took this out of the box I thought it was great. Practical experience has shown some serious flaws.

Firstly it seems to chew its way though batteries (maybe it doesn't like rechargeable ones)
But the hands of the clock are so thin and flimsy that they keep getting bent and fouling each other. This can be caused by gusts of wind. I have had to keep going out and smoothing them so they stop fouling each other. having an open face seemed good, but it isn't with such lightweight / flimsy hands. They need protection or to be made stiffer and less malleable.
I doubt it will last the summer though and may be headed for the skip much sooner than anticipated
