Loved by the birdsI have the square cake variety of these (came with the Barn bird table) and the feathery occupants of the garden adore them. Starlings, Jackdaws, Blackbirds, Sparrows, Great tits, and Doves so far just cannot get enough! The comedy value of the starlings alone is worth it.
Highly recommended, I will certainly be buying more when they've finished off the ones I have.
RSPB response: Thank you for your review, great to hear your birds are loving these! By Leap, on 15 Jun 2016
Birds love them!!!The birds that visit my garden are certainly suet fans. I put these in a square treat feeder and also loose on the bird table, and I can't put them out fast enough.
I get mainly Starlings, although while they are breeding at the moment I also get a couple of Blue Tits, Great Tits, Robins and Sparrows.
They are also a firm favourite with the Wood Pigeons, Doves and Magpies, along with a couple of cheeky squirrels!!!
They are much better to handle that the sticky suet in some other blocks, and are OK to put out in the summer without them making a mess.
RSPB response: Hi Susan, thanks for leaving a review. We are pleased that both you and your garden birds are enjoying the Super suet bars. By Susan, on 21 May 2016
Very popular with birds and foxesLoved by our garden birds but also by foxes. We put one out every night for our visiting fox who carries it away to make sure nothing else gets it. We've started buying the square suet cakes for the birds to keep up with the demand. By Ursula, on 15 May 2016
Super suet bars
- Product information
We've taken our Super suet recipe and made these versatile, great value bars. You can put them into suet feeders, onto bird tables or just put them on your window sill. As they have squared edges they won't roll off! Each bar weighs 100 g.
Our Super suet recipe is fantastic for feeding birds all year as it doesn't melt, even in summer. Super suet cakes and bars are easy to crumble onto bird tables without getting messy fingers.
Most garden birds will eat many different foods. Here's a quick guide to the birds that particularly enjoy this food, though other species may also enjoy it too:
- Blackbird - Blue tit - Collared dove - Great spotted woodpecker - Great tit - House sparrow - Long-tailed tit - Robin - Song thrush - Starling
Our suet products are specially formulated to make them suitable for year-round feeding. However, if positioned in direct sunlight they may soften or melt in very hot weather. If this is happening, try placing them in a shaded spot instead, or waiting until the weather is cooler.
Weight 100 g per cake
