RSPB sunflower hearts are grown as close to home as possible, mainly from European black seeds (did you know they're much better than the striped ones? - you learn something new every day). They travel in their own coat, to be shelled in Suffolk, fresh for you. Other hearts might come from as far away as China, Argentina or America (they've got many more miles on the clock) and lost their protective coat long ago. The RSPB sunflower heart is greener, plump, nutritious and in tip-top condition.
