Very popular with finches
The finches in particular love these seeds and will empty the feeder in a day, however it's worth it to see the flocks of goldfinches and chaffinches that come to feed. Sparrows also seem keen on them.

Good quality and great price- most importantly birds love it too most importantly!
I have bought these from other outlets for the same money and the RSPB ones are the best quality by far, proven by the birds eating them. As with any of the products with wild birds etc, they are seasonal and birds can change their feeding habits and go on and off food daily... be patient people!!

Sunflowers
I mix these in with seed/suet mixes but in smaller amounts than you get in ready mixed seeds as although the birds do eat them, they are not their favourite - suet sprinkles and sunflower hearts are! Any sunflower seeds that are dropped from the trays at this time of year soon sprout and in the past I have transplanted them into borders and get a lovely row of bright sunflowers in the summer which bees love, so a winner all round.
